Revival meetings are commanded.

Revival meetings are commanded.

Revival meetings are God’s idea.

[Deu 16:16 NASB95] 16 “Three times in a year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God in the place which He chooses, at the Feast of Unleavened Bread and at the Feast of Weeks and at the Feast of Booths, and they shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed.

God wants special times of immersion.

God commanded that there be special times when His people immersed themselves in the things of God. These special times were called feasts. At one point, the number of feasts was expanded from three to seven. That meant that seven times a year, they stopped doing what they were doing. Left their home and routine. Traveled to the Tabernacle/Temple. All this at their expense. This was in addition to the regular times of worship and sacrifice. This was extra.

This is for our benefit.

When the people of God submitted to God’s command to honor these special times, it greatly benefited them. Promises of financial blessing, protection, and so forth accompanied their compliance with the Divine decree. However, there was something more significant than all those promises. Their walk with God was strengthened.

Revival meetings strengthen us.

These are tumultuous times. Economic swings. Political battles. Wars. Diseases. Not to mention our own comings and goings. Our spiritual lives often get moved to the background while we put out the fires that crop up daily.

This is why revival meetings are so important. They help us to give God time to move in our lives. We immerse ourselves for the benefit of our spirit. Memories that last a lifetime are often created in these meetings. Some of your most remarkable experiences with God will come during revival meetings.

Could you clear your calendar for this week’s revival meetings?

This week, we are setting up revival meetings with Evangelist TJ Malcangi. We also have “Set Sail” Kids Fest VBS. Please plan to serve in the VBS for two nights. Thank you.
