I have to be honest with you…
That title does not mean that I lie to you. I can truthfully say that I attempt to preach the whole gospel to you. The gospel I preach is often absent the sensationalism the goes beyond the scripture. It also contains the supernatural that is presented in His Word. That does not mean I believe I have the corner on all truth, but truthfully I can say, I have preached all the truth I know.
There is one topic that is most controversial. This topic is found in scripture. At times it is abused by the pulpit and neglected in the pew. You will find this topic in the greeting of the book of 3rd John. “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.” (3 Jn 2)
This greeting is more than flattery.
Some have put this verse off as just a greeting. Sure, it is a greeting. I pose a question to you. Do you think that that it would pleasing to God to include a greeting in scripture that would be against the Will of God? The Apostle John greets the recipient of the letter (Gaius, v1) with a greeting that suggests that he wants him to prosper to the level that his soul is prospering. The NASB says put the scope of the prayer to include “all respects”, that means every area of his life. The KJV says that John would want this for him “above all things”. The point is this greeting meant something to John. I believe he was inspired by the Holy Spirit in writing this greeting.
God wants you to prosper.
As we close the 21 Day Fast, God has directed me to declare prosperity in my life, family, the church and this region. As this is a Birthing & Battling year, one of the areas God wants to give birth to is a new level of prosperity in your life. He wants to help you gain some WINS in the battles for your prosperity. As we faithfully stand together and release our faith on His Word, we will experience prosperity “in all respects”, personally and corporately as a church.
We love you. Looking forward to seeing you at Evangel North Church Sunday 9 AM & 11 AM, and Wednesday at 7 PM.
Also new service: Saturdays 6PM, at Evangel World Prayer Center (6900 Billtown Road).
