The Power of a Pattern

The Power of a Pattern

[Mat 6:9 NASB] 9 “Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

[Luk 11:2 NASB] 2 And He said to them, “When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come.

Is A Prayer Pattern Anointed?

Pentecostals are notoriously resistant to anything other than what feels “anointed”. We focus on spontaneity and passion. We avoid rigid and cold prayers and church services. After all, we want a relationship, not religion.

With that being said I have a couple of questions. Does Jesus know what is anointed and what is not anointed? Of course, He does. Does Jesus want us to pray rigid and cold prayers? Of course, He does NOT.

Jesus taught us to pray a pattern. We call it the Lord’s Prayer. A while He is the One Who taught it, it is more for us to prayer. Maybe we can rename it the Disciple’s Prayer.

Will Jesus Answer A Prayer He Taught Us To Pray?

There is certain confidence we have when we pray this prayer. The confidence comes from the fact that Jesus taught us to pray this prayer. It would make perfect sense that if Jesus taught us to pray this prayer He would have every intention to answer the prayer. Right?

This Sunday we are going to examine the 7 aspects of the Lords Prayer (excuse me the Disciples Prayer). We will see that this prayer teaches us how to pray. It will also help bring some additional consistency in prayer. It is going to FIRE!

We are believing to connect 1000 people to Jesus Christ and His Church.

Pastors John & Erin Carmichael

Evangel North Church – A multi-generational multi-ethnic church reaching a region with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit and the love of God.

We need a sign.

In order to increase the visibility of the church, we need another sign. One of the issues with our building is that it is largely hidden by the apartment complex. When you examine churches that are growing today, they are largely visible from main roads. We can not move the building. We can not move the apartments. Our current sign is in poor condition and sits very low to the ground. We can increase the visibility of the church with a high-quality sign. This is especially important now due to the increased traffic on Veterans Pkwy and Green Tree Blvd.

Ask God What Your Part Is

A high-quality sign is not cheap. It will cost over $12k to purchase the sign and get it installed. That is not a lot of money for God. Ask God what He would have you give. Some may want to set a faith-pledge of $500, $1000 or more. We would like to have the money raised by September. We God’s help and your obedience we can do this.

Let’s get this done!
