Want to go fishing?

It’s time to know God as our Provider. In Genesis 22, we read about how Abraham came to know God as the Provider. God commanded him to offer up his son as an offering. Abraham walks out the steps of obedience, believing that God will raise him from the dead (Heb. 11:19). God stopped him from sacrificing Isaac. God provided a ram to be sacrificed instead. It was there Abraham called God “The LORD Will Provides.” This story points to…

Let’s Not Get Destroyed

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. Hosea 4:6 NASB Let’s Not Get Destroyed In this verse, God’s people were getting decimated. The judgment that Hosea was describing is breathtaking. Eerdman’s commentary on this verse says, “Devastation is threatened, more complete than that at the Flood (Genesis 8–9), for not only land but sea and sky, too, will be denuded…

For Noah to properly accomplish God’s mission to RECLAIM the earth and his very own life, he must understand that he has to exercise dominion over creation. A…

This is humiliating

[Heb 12:1-3 NASB95] “1 Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne…

It Got Torn

It Was Torn! When Jesus died on the cross, the Bible tells us that the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom. (Matthew 27:50-51) The veil was a symbol of separation between God and humanity because of sin. The torn veil removes the separation. We now have access to God through the cross. (Hebrews 10:19-20) From now through Easter (April 4th) we will have a wooden cross raised in our sanctuary. We are attaching prayer requests to…
